Terms & Conditions
Before any booking is taken with Speedy Connections Travel Services, the customer/client/hirer should read, acknowledge and accept the terms and conditions as set out below.
Speedy Connections Travel Services – known herein as SCTS.
1. Confirmation
- Please note that any booking is not secured until you receive confirmation from SCTS either by letter, email or text message.
- Please check the booking confirmation carefully and inform SCTS of any errors. It is absolutely VITAL that all information given is correct.
- It is the responsibility of the hirer to check and double check all information in particular; the right date, time of arrival and the correct flight number.
- SCTS cannot be held responsible for any loss or inconvenience caused due to the incorrect information given.
- SCTS will endeavour to check all flight details, connection times etc. supplied, but cannot be responsible for any errors or cancellations or timetable changes which result in loss or delay to the hirer or passengers.
2. Payment
Non-Account Holders
- £50.00 Deposits (or 50% of the fee) are required on ALL bookings to secure them. All deposits are non-refundable, unless otherwise agreed with SCTS.
- Where a booking deposit is accepted, the balance will need to be paid in full before travelling.
- For very short notice bookings from persons unknown, cash or card payments will only be accepted.
Account Holders
- All payments MUST be received either before the date; or on the day of travel.
- If payment has not been received as above, SCTS reserves the right to cancel the booking at any time.
- Payment can be made either by:- Cash; Cheque (payable to Speedy Connections); On-line payments (account details available); Debit/Credit Cards (additional 3% charge applies); American Express (additional 5% charge applies).
- Any returned cheques (from the bank) will incur a £25.00 admin fee and alternative payment will need to be made.
3. Other Costs
- Waiting Times will commence 15 minutes after the agreed pick-up time.
- A charge of £5.00 will commence thereafter for every 15 minutes of time waiting.
- Any "on the way" stops in addition to the final destination will be charged at £3.00 per stop.
- Any detours will be charged at £3.00 per extra mile.
4. Sub-Contracting
- SCTS reserves the right to substitute any car prior to any booking. Should it be necessary to substitute any car SCTS will endeavour to supply a vehicle of equal quality.
5. Damage & Cleaning
Food/Drink
- NO food or drink is allowed in any vehicle unless agreed with the chauffeur.
- The hirer will be responsible for any valet costs if any excessive food and/or drink substance is dropped in the vehicle.
Damage
- Any malicious damage or deliberate breakages/carelessness resulting in damage to the vehicle will be charged directly to the hirer who placed the booking.
- The hirer will also incur any charges for any time that the vehicle will be “off the road” whilst being repaired.
6. Smoking
- Smoking is strictly prohibited in any vehicle.
- Prior notice will be required if the hirer requires the chauffeur to stop for a break, to allow extra time for the journey.
7. Conduct of Passengers
- SCTS and any of its chauffeurs reserve the right to ask any passenger to leave the vehicle who are deemed to be behaving in an abusive or destructive manner towards the chauffeur or the vehicle.
- Passengers are requested not to distract, interfere, encourage or harass the chauffeur into breaking the law or any of these conditions.
- Should the booking be terminated due to passengers not adhering to these conditions, the full booking fee will still be charged.
8. Property & Luggage
- All luggage, property and personal items are carried at the owner's own risk.
- SCTS accept no responsibility for loss, damage or theft to any luggage, property or personal items whatsoever.
9. Delays
- Your chauffeur will take the route he believes is the best way to get to the destination in time.
- SCTS are not liable for any loss, inconvenience or liabilities due to delays caused by traffic jams, road works, road closures, diversions, extreme weather conditions, collisions caused by other parties etc.
10. Amended/Diverted Flights
- SCTS must be notified by telephoning 07792 084344 immediately of any change in flights.
- If contact has been made before the vehicle has left the depot, there will be no penalty charge and alternative arrangements will be made with no additional costs to the hirer.
- If the vehicle has already left the depot, the full booking fee will be charged and alternative arrangements will be made at an additional cost to the hirer.
- If a flight has been diverted to another airport, SCTS will not send a vehicle until contact has been made.
- If no contact has been made, it will then be deemed by SCTS that the hirer has cancelled the booking and will be charged accordingly.
11. Cancellations
Cancellation by the Hirer
- SCTS will only accept any cancellation in written form, i.e. letter, email or text message.
- If payment has already been received by SCTS, the hirer will be entitled to the following refunds:-
Deposit paid – non-refundable;
Day of hire – no refund;
1-2 days before – 15% refund;
3-6 days before – 25% refund;
7-13 days before – 30% refund;
14-27 days before – 50% refund;
- If payment has NOT been received by SCTS, the following charges will be applicable:-
Deposit paid – non-refundable;
Day of hire – 100% of total fee;
1-2 days before – 85% of total fee;
3-6 days before – 75% of total fee;
7-13 days before – 60% of total fee;
14-27 days before – 50% of total fee;
- If there is “no show” from the hirer, the full booking fee will be charged together with any additional waiting and parking charges.
Cancellation by SCTS
- If SCTS has to cancel a booking at any time, for any reason, a full refund of any monies paid will be issued to the hirer.
- In the event of any emergency, riot, civil commotion, strike, lock out, stoppage or restrain of labour or on the happening of any event over which the company has not control (including adverse weather and road conditions) or in the event of the hirer taking any action to vary agreed conditions unilaterally, the company may, be returning all money paid and without further or other liability, cancel the contract.
12. Complaints
- Should the hirer wish to complain about SCTS and/or its chauffeur(s), please write to the address above, within 5 working days of the incident and every effort will be made to look into the complaint and come to a satisfying conclusion.
13. Alterations
- SCTS periodically reviews its charges and Terms and Conditions to remain competitive. Therefore, SCTS reserves the right to alter these as and when necessary without notice.
